Harris

Kamala Harris stands as a trailblazer in American politics, making history in her role as the first female, Black, and South Asian Vice President of the United States. Her journey has been marked by a relentless pursuit of justice and equality, consistently breaking barriers and setting new standards for leadership. As a pivotal figure in shaping the future of our nation, Harris’ commitment to a more inclusive and fair society is evident in every aspect of her work. Here’s why she’s the right choice as a candidate for president.

Throughout her career, Harris has demonstrated a fierce commitment to uplifting working families by advocating for policies that address the pressing needs of everyday Americans. Her bold agenda prioritizes expanding access to affordable healthcare, creating well-paying jobs, and implementing measures to lower prescription drug costs. A key component of her plan includes capping insulin prices at $35 per month for all Americans, not just seniors, ensuring that essential medications are within reach for those who need them the most. As a dedicated advocate for reproductive rights, Harris has also made it clear that she intends to sign legislation codifying Roe V. Wade protections into law, safeguarding the rights of women across the country.

Her vision for an inclusive economy is equally ambitious, calling for tax reforms that demand the wealthiest pay their fair share while providing much-needed relief to working families. By championing an increase in the minimum wage and striving to close the racial wealth gap, Harris continues to showcase her fight for equality and the rights of all Americans.

Harris is also deeply committed to investing in the future, with plans to enhance education, modernize infrastructure, and promote green energy initiatives that will drive long-term growth and sustainability. Trump

No one thought that a business man off the streets of New York with virtually no background in politics would become the president of the United States of America. Well, he did. In 2016 former president Donald Trump won the Electoral College against Hillary Clinton and this year he is looking to do it again against Kamala Harris.

Now why Trump? What does he bring to the table? How can he make a positive and lasting impact on our economy and society? Well the answer is he already did and he is preparing. Before the Covid 19 pandemic hit, Trump had successfully led our country for three years. The economy in a way was booming. In 2019 middle class household incomes were the highest they had ever been. Not only that, but the poverty rate hit an all time low.

While of course running a sustainable economy is a major role a president must undertake, so is furthering peace, specifically by creating bonds with external countries, and Trump sure did a great job at that. In reality, a great job is one of the biggest understatements ever. He made a truly historical impact on our foreign relations when he was the first ever sitting president in the history of the United States to visit North Korea and meet with Kim Jong Un.

So we know that he ran a prosperous economy and was a strong advocate for peace, so why doesn’t everyone vote for him? Well apart from the fact that there are other candidates, one of the biggest reasons people don’t vote for Trump is because they don’t agree with all of his opinions. But there is a major thing wrong with that.

Even if you don’t agree with all of his opinions, you can’t deny the fact that he was a good president and that he had a major impact on our country, and at the very least, on our economy. What I mean by this is that even if you don’t like him, you can’t ignore the reality that he was a successful president and he can be once again.

Of course who you vote for is entirely up to you. But I strongly urge you to one do your own research and to take another look at Trump. Really look into his policies and what he stands for, and just maybe you’ll realize you agree with him too.
