From singing along to “Descendents” on the bus to winning a tournament, the golf team does it all.
“This season was the best in my four years,” senior Lauren Dill said.
During the season the team placed 4th at districts and metros, they sent two girls to state, and they even won the Omaha South Invite.
One of the biggest things that made a difference in this season compared to past seasons, Dill said, was the underclassmen. This year the team had a group of really talented freshmen and sophomores, specifically Aubrey Carder who was a freshman on varsity, Dill said.
Carder has played golf since she was little. Carder said that her favorite part about the team is “how nice and welcoming the team is.” Not only was the team great at golf they also became an amazing community during the season, she said.
“One of my favorite memories from the golf season was when we all sang to “Desendents” on the bus ride to a tournament,” sophomore CharlieAnn Luethge said. “I also loved how even though we would all tease one another, we were always uplifting and encouraging to each other.”
