I love being outside, especially with my camera. Taking pictures of nature, especially birds, makes me really happy. It’s fun, exciting, and sometimes even a challenge. At 17, I’ve spent a lot of time outdoors, and photography has helped me see the world in a new way.
Bird photography is one of my favorite things to do. Birds move fast, and they don’t stay in one place for long. This makes it hard to get a good picture, but that’s what makes it fun. When I finally capture a bird in the perfect moment—like a hawk flying or a tiny bird sitting on a branch—it feels really awesome. Every picture is special because it freezes a moment that might never happen again.
Being outside with my camera helps me notice things that other people might not see. I pay attention to how the sunlight shines through the trees, how the wind moves the leaves, and how birds act when they don’t know someone is watching. Photography makes me slow down and really look at what’s around me.

Taking pictures of birds also makes me feel calm. Life can be busy and stressful, but when I’m outside with my camera, I forget about everything else. I just focus on the birds and nature. It’s peaceful and makes me feel free.
One of the best parts of photography is sharing my pictures with others. When I show someone a cool picture of a bird, they get excited and start paying more attention to nature too. It makes me happy to share what I love with others.
In the end, taking pictures outside, especially of birds, is my favorite thing to do. It’s fun, peaceful, and always an adventure. I can’t wait to keep learning and getting better at it!
