Get ready for a wild ride as Steel Ball Run gallops onto our screen as the much-anticipated new season starts production. Known for its unique storytelling and vibrant characters, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, announces its latest installment promises to take the adventure to new heights with thrilling races and unexpected twists.
The last animated season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, produced by David Productions and Netflix, Stone Ocean, brought us back to the world of stands and strange abilities, with Jolyne Cujoh. After getting herself into trouble, she was arrested and placed into a correctional facility later finding out it was all a trap by a family rival from a hundred years ago. Dio, the rival of the first Joestar, has greatly affected the series from part one Phantom Blood where he became a vampire to part three Stardust Crusaders being able to stop time, he always comes to cause trouble to the joestar family tree. Stone Ocean had left the story on a solemn ending, the unlikely companions from Green Dolphin Street State Penitentiary had saved the world and earned their happy ending.
On that note, we start our new season. Steel Ball Run starts off in a new timeline after the end of Stone Ocean. Many fans are very excited about the new season, Steel Ball Run . It’s sort of like a Great Race, where the group of protagonist’s adventure takes them across the country and through many places through the United States. Set in the 1890’s, the Steel Ball Run is a contest spanning other contestants with other strange abilities to earn a prize of $50,000,000. Steel Ball Run is a great story about overcoming adversity and friendship. Johnny Joestar, the counterpart for the original JoJo, Johnathan Joestar, is the main character in this part. Johnny was a horse racer and after he was sabotaged and paralyzed, he discovered a way for him to walk again. After he met Gyro Zeppeli, he witnessed Gyro’s ability that he channels through his steel balls. These balls are embodied with “The Spin” an ability that is vague in Jojo’s But described as a state of almost perfect rotation or Rotational Energy. With the spin Johnny is able to feel his legs for the first time in many years. Johnny is determined to walk again. So he sets off with Gyro, eager to learn “The Spin”, and win the Steel Ball Run.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has a little bit of everything for everyone. It’s chalked full of pop culture references like President Funny Valentine being based on the song “My Funny Valentine” by Frank Sanatra. The Zeppili family references the band Led Zeppelin and Joylne from part six is in reference to Dolly Parton’s Jolyne. There are many references to American music throughout the series as a whole. The series is filled with lovable characters, amazing design and artwork, fun abilities and a deep, brimming plot. Those who have already seen the series should rewatch, and get ready for a whole new adventure. Those who haven’t should definitely check it out.
