I was asked whip up this tornado right before deadline, I gladly took the opportunity. I really just let my mind do the work on this, I only used a trusty mechanical pencil because I really thought to grey tones were perfect for the piece

Artist Statement: All I was really thinking about was a teacher who was really stressed, so I drew that. I decided to show that she was thinking about all the stuff she has to worry about. It's more rushed than my other pieces because, ironically enough, I'm also stressed with finals. I would have really liked to change the shading on her face so that it doesn't look like she got beaten by an angry student. I used ibisPaintX with a stylus.

Artist Statement: Making review art with the musicians in photonegative / silhouetted against the background is a concept that I've been kicking around in my head for a while now. I got to two separate images of the members of the Black Keys (Pat Carney on the left, Dan Auerbach on the right), put them on the same canvas, made them semi-transparent, filled in their forms with dark colors, and outlined the details in white. Created, as always, with digital illustration tools in Photoshop, which was especially helpful in isolating and manipulating the layers so I could get the desired effect.

I decided to use blue because I feel like it was a very popular color, and the stanleys spilling out the top represent just how obsessed people are with them. I used a refence picture for the large Stanley, but I pulled the little ones out of my imagination, and I decided to use colored pencil because I could get the right shades for the colors I needed I know I love my Stanley and many people love theirs too.

Artist Statement: I wanted to use a newer photo of Stevie Nicks instead of an older one since this wasn't Fleetwood Mac, it was just her.
