Journalists take home medals from NSAA State Contest

These journalists took home medals from NSAA State Journalism held in Norfolk on April 28.

Adalyn Jensen earned a 1st placd gold medal for yearbook feature writing, a 5th place medal for yearbook sports feature and a 3rd for yearbook theme development alongside classmates Max Pina and Cecilia Elgert

Artist Statement: Since penny's seem to be a treasure in the past, I decided to create this piece of art showing the penny slowly pixilating away. Most forms of currency seem to be digital now. I drew this by hand with colored pencils, and for a reference I used a physical penny.
Staff Editorial: Good riddance to the penny
Artist Statement: I drew this in my sketchbook using a scene from Terrifier 3 as my reference. When I finished sketching it with pencil, I used Prismacolors to color it and then I scanned it and touched it up in Photoshop by adjusting the color channels to try and make it look cooler/creepier.
