Money crushes people’s college dreams College: a MAJOR decision
A last minute change

College can be the most stressful event for high school students, whether or not to go, where to go, what to major in, all of these are questions that can dictate one’s future.

Often most people know whether or not they want to attend college, have some idea of a major, but where to go is the biggest looming question for most. The beginning of senior year is full of applying to many many colleges in hope they admit you and give you financial aid so you can even think of affording the cost to attend the college.

Once it hits February it’s that thing where you know what schools want you but what school are you going to choose? And honestly, once you know what schools you want to go to, you always have your top pick. The school with the best programs and amazing opportunities.

That doesn’t always work out. Sometimes it hits April and you still don’t know what school you want to go to because of the financial aid options and the scholarships not applying to all the schools.. It can be the week before May and you have to make the decision to go to an in-state college instead of going out of state because they take more credits you took in high school, financial aid was taken back, or so many other reasons.

I, thankfully, won’t have to go on the college search again but if

I were to make sure anyone had any sort of take-away it was to expect plans to change as the year goes on. It can even be the week before decision day.
