In a surprising announcement, Twitter, the popular social media platform, has revealed its decision to undergo a significant transformation.

The company plans to rebrand itself, changing its name to X. This bold move has left users and industry experts intrigued, and it raises numerous questions about the future of the platform

“It’s dumb, twitter is twitter, not X,” says freshman Charlie Luethge. Twitter, being a prominent player in the social media landscape, has built a strong brand over the years.

This move to rebrand itself with the name X signifies a shift in the company’s strategy. With this transformation, Twitter aims to reinvent its identity and redefine its position in the digital sphere.

By adopting the name X, the company aspires to convey a sense of innovation, evolution, and forward-thinking. This rebranding allows Twitter to position itself as a platform that goes beyond its traditional image and embraces a broader range of functionalities.

Even though Twitter may be changing their name, many and most people seem against it. Junior Emery Goldsberry states “I think it’s a little weird, because Twitter has always been Twitter.” Obviously there is some dislike for the new name.

Twitter has been successful for years, but will this new name change anything? Or will X change Twitter’s reputation and popularity forever? Will it really stick, or will people still think of X as the well known Twitter.
